    Anti-Trump ‘Lincoln Project’ Helped Iranian Disinformation Effort Go Viral

    By Peter Hasson – The Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump political group, appears to have helped an Iranian disinformation effort go viral. Federal authorities concluded that Iran was behind a string of threatening emails targeting Democratic voters in swing states, The Washington Post reported Wednesday. The email senders claimed to be members of the Proud Boys, a fringe right-wing group. Director of National Intelligence Dan Ratcliffe confirmed the Iranian efforts during a press conference Wednesday evening.     ‘Yes, They Will Be Deported’: Illegal Aliens With Criminal Records Barred From Asylum

    By Kaylee Greenlee – A rule restricting criminal aliens from gaining asylum in the U.S. under new regulations was announced by the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security Tuesday. The new rule makes aliens convicted of certain crimes ineligible for asylum, Department of Homeland Security Acting Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli said on a call with reporters Tuesday. The final rule will go into effect on Nov. 20 and prohibits convicted felons, drunk drivers, gang members, and individuals convicted of other crimes from qualifying for asylum. Swiss citizens voted Sunday in a referendum that included serial-numbering of some gun parts, training requirements and waivers to possess certain semi-automatic weapons. The referendum could also impact Switzerland’s standing in the open-border Schengen zone, according to USA Today.
